I am looking for any help trying to confirm and trace my great great grandfather john kelly from truagh co monaghan who was married around 1800 to mary cassidy/cassily,cassahly from Listrakelt derrynoose which is quite close to monaghan. My great grandfather is confirmed by marriage certificate of my grandfather as Myles kelly who was a brother of a rev father patrick kelly or canon kelly of derrynoose/keady up to his death in 1891.This information is confirmed by a will .From historical papers father patrick kelly was a cousin of dr. james donnelly the bishop of clogher whose mother is stated as catharine kelly from cordlare--- hence my connection -and hope that some information is out there.I know myles kelly and his brother patrick were born in Listrakelt derrynoose in 1806 and 1808 so i can presume that the father who is mentioned as john would have been born in say the era of say 1750- 1785 .i have seen plenty of kelly men in the corclare /errigal truagh area on the griffiths list of 1825 and some on the flax growers list of 1796.
any help or knowledge would be much appreciated.
