My GGG Grandfather was born Alexander Barnes in or about 1793.  He married a Jane Forsyth and had two sons whilst in Kilmore.  His firstborn was William Warner Barnes born 1818 and his second son was Thomas Barnes born 1821.  Not long after that birth the whole family moved to the West Riding of Yorkshire where Alexander carried on his trade as a Stone Delver in a local quarry. I have been unable to trace his birth or his parents names and would love to be able to take his line back as far as I can.  Jane may not have been born in Kilmore.

I now have two links to Ireland. Alexander on my mothers paternal side and on my husbands maternal side, relatives in the Oylegate area of Enniscorthy, Wexford.

Thank you

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

A resource book I have indicates that Kilmore C of I records go back to 1796. Of course, there could be gaps in the records. Roots Ireland does not have the Kilmore C of I records on their data base. Here is a link to the church. You may want to contact them to see if they have records for Alexander or his sons.
