Help. Coming to Ireland Sept17-27 and really would like to find this branch.

My great great grandfather, Michael Gavin, immigrated to US around 1850. He was born between 1824-1830. Headstone says from Co. Monaghan. A great uncle wrote that Michael's parents were Joseph and Bridget. Had 6 brothers and sisters: Bridget, James, Catherine, Mary, Patrick and Joseph. Sister Catherine married Patrick McCabe in Ireland, and had a daughter, Alice, born 1848(?). Next daughter, 1851, born in Buffalo, NY. There is one Griffith valuation for a Joseph Gavan (how Michael's name is spelled in the 1860 US census), in Kilmore. Don't know if this is him.

any help would be greatly appreciated.
