Hi Everyone
I am trying to find out information about the Hannan/Hanan/Hanon Family from around the area of Magheracloone Monaghan Ireland. I believe that my 5 x Great Grand Father was Peter Hannan born about 1760. His son John Hannan was my 4 x Great Grand Father and served in the Battle of Waterloo and then as a Chelsea Pensioner was allowed to move with his family to New South Wales Australia to serve with the 57th Regiment bet 1826-1829.
if anyone could point me in the right direction to find out information about this family it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to assume your family was RC. The records for that parish do not start until 1826 too late for your ancestors. I also checked the Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for the parish and there were no Hannan/Hannons in 1861 in the parish. Same with the 1832 Tithe Applotment listings for the parish.
