Looking for Meehans of Corratanty

Hi,

I am looking for anyone connected to, or has information re: the Meehan family of Corratanty in the parish of Muckno.

Probably mid to late 1800's onwards?

My late mother's father was Patrick Meehan and he was one of five - one brother and three sisters - and he left Corratanty late 1800's/early 1900's to settle in Glasgow.

The other info I have is that my Grandfathers mother's maiden name was Ann/Anne Ford.

No details gathered so far on who my grandfather's father was?

Looking forward to connecting with you all.

Thanks

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

The subscription site Roots Ireland has the marriage record for Ann Ford and John Meehan in Muckno in 1858. I found baptismal records for a Peter Meehan and a Mary Meehan. What year was Patrick born?

  • P McCann:

I located the 1874 civil birth record for Patrick on the free site www.irishgenealogy.ie  Next to last record on the page.

Patrick's father John died in 1885
