Searching for birth, marriage info & family links to: clerk Robert Adams (Adems) and his brother Dr. William Adams (Adems) both of Dublin, both born +/- 1730, and to Robert's wife Susana Callahan (possibly Callaghan or Galland) of Meath or somewhere nearby but north of Meath. Could be Louth, Cavan or Monaghan. They all emigrated to America (NY) about 1747.

  • Hi

Here are a couple of sites that may be of interest to you...

You could try checking the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp

    or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64) http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/

or the Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS) https://familysearch.org/

    http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname

Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

    Go n?ir? an b?ther  leat,

    Kind regards,

  • Hi,

Rev Dean Adams ws a lare landowner in Shercock co. Cavan, I have no info on his family.  I have a family tree of O'Callaghans but alas it does not predate 1865, the name is not too common in this area, but I have not been able to join up the few families there are, if you need me to visit local graveyards, please let me know.  Best Wishes Carmel O'Callaghan
