Hi,
I am looking for the families of Ellen and Catherine SHERRY born USA 1874 & 1875.
The parents were James SHERRY and Margaret TIERNEY.
The family returned to COOLKILL, Monaghan c.1876 and a Brother James was born in 1876 in Monaghan.
The 2 girls were in Monaghan and still single when the 1901 Irish Census was taken, but had gone by 1911.
Maybe they returned to America ??

There is a bierth record for Michael Sherry with father james Sherry and mother Margaret Tierney dated20 May 1864 from Gilford, Tedavnet, Monaghan, Ireland. Is this the same family? Also where in the US did they go to? Maybe I can help.

Sean,
I believe I have found a birth record for Catherine in New Jersey, and Ellen also in New Jersey.
It appears they have at least the following siblings Mary Anne b. 1864, her twin Michael born 1864,
the twins born in Ireland, Owne b. 1866 in New Jersey, Then come Ellen perhaps in 1868 which is a different date than yours and then Catherine in 1874. Finally, James back in Ireland in 1876 in Coolkill.
Another researcher has some death dates of the siblings who stayed in Ireland. Please contact me to compare notes.
