I am looking for information for A. Farrell married to Michael Gannon in County Longford.  I believe they had 4 children. Thomas, Elizabeth, William and John.  Is there any information on the parents of A. Farrell.

Her son Thomas is my GG grandfather but I know nothing of the Farrell side of the family or what became of her and her husband or her sons William and John.  i believe her daughter died in 1856.

Thanks for your help!

  • Hi Peggy,

Good to see you are still active. If I am right with my previous assumptions

That Thomas Gannon was baptised 08/02/1846 (Feb=2) in Parish of Newtownforbes Longford  son of Michael Gannon and A Farrell.I notice that The sponsors were William Farrell and Mary Farrell.

I have a church Marriage record for Michael Gannon (spelt Gahann)and ann ferrall 1841 parish Rathcline longford

William's Baptism record date of Baptism 05-Jan-1845 gives their address as Curry Newtownforbes this time the sponsors are Partick Gannon and Mary Trone

Elizabeth Gannon's Baptism Record gives Date of Baptism as 11 - Oct -1853 address Curry Newtonforbes

Father Michael Gannon and Mother Ann Farrell

sponsors here are Michael Farrell and Mary OHara

Elizabeth Gannon Church Burial record gives date of death as 03-Oct-1856 with an address Curry Newtownforbes

I have  a John Gannon same parents  Baptised 1857

I will get back to you later .What you have is three possible farrells that are related Ann William Mary and Michael.
