I'm looking for my Second GreatGrandparents Edward Timothy and Catherine Shaughnessy, who got married in 1867 had ten children, Mary (Maria), Bridget, Julia, Margaret, James, Thomas, Anne, John,Edward and Catherine. I know 5 of the children didnt survive childhood. My Great Grandmother Julia Timothy had a Son called John Timothy (My Grandfather)in March 1909. Would love to know if anyone got any links to these as seem to become a dead end.
Julia was a Twin to Bridget. Also Thomas and Anna were too.
The family lived around Frenchlawn

The 1901 Irish Census (free at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/) has 31 Timothys in Roscommon - have you checked there?

Yes you got the correct people that I got, it just I am trying to find the five remaining children of Edward and Catherine that Survive childhood even my Great Grandmother as we dont even know what happened to them and Grandad died in 1983 and Mum was only 17 at the time and didnt have much do with him when she was growing up.

Hello Adam,
The actual family you are looking for are in the 1901 and 1911 census.

Snipe Hill was a location within what is now known as Frenchlawn.
Sorting through some of the civil registrations for Timothy registered in Castlereagh may help with life events for the missing ancestors.

Thank you so Much for that link to the Surname of Timothy in Castlerea and yes the two census are the right ones. 1911 show my grandad and my Great Granny Julia and Great Great Grandad Edward. Also 1901 got Great Granny and Great Great Grandad. I will look at the surname search and see if i can link any of them to the 5 remaining children including my Great Granny Julia. Grandad passed away in 1983 at the age 74, 6 years before I was born in 1989.
