I am looking for a marriage record for Festus Kane and Mary Duane around 1905-1908. They were living in Garronbaun, Ballynakill at the time of the 1911 census and were 5 years married. Festus Kane was from Maum, Errislanan, and Mary Duane was from Eyrecourt, Galway. She was living in Carraun Mor, Grange, Galway at the time of the 1901 census. Not really sure what parish they actually got married, but all of their children were civilly registered in Renvyle, Clifden from 1908 onwards. I found no civil marriage record for them under any spelling variant of their names. So hoping a parish record exists somewhere? If anyone can help, please let me know. In order to confirm I have the correct birth records for them I need to find out their father's names from a marriage record. Thanks! Anne-Marie Smith.

Dear Anne-Marie
As you can see from the link below the records for the Roman Catholic Parish of Clonfert, Meelick & Eyrecourt begin in 1849: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Galway&CityCounty=East%20Galway&parish=Clonfert&churchid=415
We can assume that she married in the parish where she lived, probably Eyrecourt.
The Family History Centre in Galway City retains copies of records up to 1900. In order for you to get a copy of the marriage certificate you will have to contact the parish itself. I have provided the information here: http://www.clonfertdiocese.ie/html/eyrecourt.asp
You also contact the General Register Office (GRO) for a civil record of the marriage. You say that you have not been able to locate a civil record but it would be a good idea to have another look. You can contact the GRO here: http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/General-Register-Office.aspx
Best of luck with your search
