I am looking for information about my great, great grandmother Johanna Collins who married John Sullivan in 1846 in your parish. She was born around 1825 and had a sister Elizabeth born around 1817.
I think her father could have been John.
In the 1851 England census these 2 women were living in Carlisle while their husbands were in the British army. I would begrateful for any infoumation anybody could give me about the Collins family.

Suggest you go to www.irishgenealogy.ie they have the RC records for the Diocese of Cork and Ross which includes the parish of Skibbereen (Creagh and Sullon). I searched for Johanna Collins' baptism records in that parish and found one on January 8,1826 where the father's name was John. No idea if this is your relative. ( I assume North Street was in Skibbereen).
