I have been shown the old hand carved grave stone of Terrence b.about 1678 d.1748, Catherine, sons James d.1752 & Patrick in Kilcooley Cemetery between Tulsk and Strokestone, Co. Roscommon. Also in same plot are Matthew Conry d.1902 (of Cloonyquin Elphin) & wife Maragret Banaghan 1856-1950 and some of their children. There seems to be 1 or 2 generations missing between Terrence (Kilcooley) & James Conry and Honria Kelly (of Cloonyquin Elphin) the parents of Matthew (Cloonyquin buryed at Kilcooley). I am looking information on graves of James Conry and Honria Kelly (of Cloonyquin Elphin) parents of Matthew. Also missing family connections of Terrnece (Kilcooley) to James, Honoria & Matthew (Cloonyquin) and Terrnece Conry, wife Catherine McManus & son Thomas (also of Cloonyquin). James & T Conry found on record early 1800's record at Cloonyquin and their wifes Honra and Catherine are found in Griffiths Valuation.

  • Dear Patrick

Welcome to Ireland Reaching out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Usually graveyard records are only readily available if they have been transcribed as part of a local project or through historicgraves.com or a similar project.

You could use rootsireland.ie or familysearch.org to see if you can find out more about those missing ancestors and join the dots in that way (though be mindful that the earlier the period of the search the less likely parish records will be available).

    Best wishes
