The people, who arrived in Northumberland, were mainly from Lissonuffy. They were kept in a Holding House in the middle of nowhere. They went on to live on estates of Earl Grey, Lord Howick. The names of the people are McDermott, Donoghue, ,McDonnell, Mckeon, Fahily, Brannighan (Drinagh) and many more. I am particularly interested in the Hynes and McDonnell/O'Donnell Family. I have Bridget Hynes baptised Kiltrustan, residence Lissonuffy. father William Hynes mother Mary McDonnell/O'Donnell. They were married in Strokestown by the Rev Michael Mcdermott in 1839. Bridget Hynes married Michael Brannighan prior to this, also Strokestown. William Hynes and Bridget give their place of birth as Longford. Mary Mcdonnell is living in a house with Owen McDonnell and Frances Cox. ? relationship cousin/brother etc. Possible father is James McDonnell. Witness names in Ireland John and Mary Hynes, Michael and Mary McDermott, Michael and Mary Hayden. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hello, Fiona. Could you please clarify/ elaborate a few points?
1. When did the people from Lissonuffy arrive in Northumberland? Approximate year if you don't know exact time.
2. What is the date of Bridget Hynes baptism at Kiltrustan?
3. Was Bridget Hynes who married Michael Brannighan the same Bridget Hynes, daughter of William Hynes and Margaret (O'Donnell) ? When was this marriage?
4. "Mary McDonnell is living in a house with Owen McDonnell and Frances Cox. ? relationship cousin/brother etc. Possible father is James McDonnell."
Where was this house? When were they living in it? From what source did this information come? Was Mary McDonnell the same woman who married William Hynes in Strokestown in1839 or a different Mary McDonnell? Are you guessing at relationships between Mary McDonnell, Owen McDonnell and Frances Cox? Have you found any evidence or clues that there may have been kinship? Was Frances male or female? Do you know their ages?
5. "Witness names in Ireland John & Mary Hynes .........." Who witnessed what, when and where?

Apols for not being clearer.
1 Arrived in Northumberland 1847
2. Bridget Hynes christened 6 ~June 1845 Godparents Michael and Mary Haydn
3.Bridget Hynes parents were John and Mary Hynes information given at a second marriage in 1854 still living in Roscommon (? where). First marriage To Michael Brannigan also 6 June in 1837, Cloonfinlough. Wiitnesses Michael Flynn and Thomas Hawks. (name on parish in Ireland Bridget Hennis). Michael, first husband died 1845. First child, Anne, Christened Lissonuffy and Cloonfinlough 12 December 1837.
4. Owen mcdonnell marries Frances Cox. I have not been able to ascertain exact relationship. They were regularly used as Godparents and witnesses at records of christening, marriages etc. . And also at petty sessions The first one being William Hynes of Longford and ~Owen Mcdonnell of Roscommon 3 days in the workhouse for augmenting a fire. Information taken 1851 census Embleton, Northummberland.
I am trying to find Mary Mcdonnell/O'Donnell/MDaniel 's baptism parish born c.1818. Hazarding a guess William and Mary's 2nd son, ~James. Owen and Fanny Cox - first son James. Where exactly in Lissonuffy did William and Mary live? to find any other family.
