Bridget Murray was the daughter of Michael Murray (listed as a farmer) and Bridget MacDermott. (Information from her marriage certificate in 1896 to Thomas Reed in Paddington New South Wales and death certificate,1942 in Queensland.) In 1896 she listed her father Michael as deceased.
She was the neice of Bridget Quigley (nee MacDermott) and was born in 1869 (from both certificates above), presumably in County Roscommon. After her aunt Bridget's death in 1893 in Paddington she had the responsibility of care of my grandmother Catheine Quigley.
I cannot find a marriage between Michael Murray and Bridget MacDermott, nor other members of the family, nor Michael's details.
Any information would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Roscommon Reaching Out Community! The townland Mirriam found for you is now spelled Carrownvally and it is in the civil parish of Killukin near Roscommon town (not the Killukin near Boyle and not the RC parish of Killukin)
https://www.logainm.ie/en/43715?s=Carrownvally
Here is the civil parish to join: https://irelandxo.com/ireland/roscommon/killukin
If you post an ancestor profile to this parish, I'll be able to help you more.

In doing my research looking for Madden's and Flanagans there a lot of McDermotts and they were Catholic. I would also look in Killukin Parish

I looked in my notes and found James Mc Dermott. Look for Foxboro Estate (Foxborough) The parish? district is Either Tulsk or Elphin.
James married Brigit Flanagan and their children were born in the 1860's. James was a herdsman on the estate.
Many McDermotts went to Austraila.
I hope this helps.

Greetings Miriam, Rua and Demimad and grateful thanks for directing me in the Murray direction. It will take some time to follow up each suggestion, and I will.
Re the "aunt", Bridget MacDermott who became Bridget Quigley. This Bridget was from Tully, Roscommon and her sister Mary married Michael McKeon and left her money in her will. Her will states that Bridget Murray is her "cousin" and she left her money in her will as well.
I will keep searching for bridget Murray hhere but with no information about her irish background it has been difficult.
For all that my gratitude for your suggestions.

(grandson of Bridget Quigley, formerly Bridget MacDermott who, as far as I can tell, had three brothers, John, Thomas and Peter; Peter came to NSW but there is no evidence that he and bridget ever caught up with each other.
