I am trying to find the birthplace of Margaret Burke born around 1819, father's name John who had a trade as a joiner I think, Margaret had a sibling called Ellen, born around 1822.I know Margaret had married a man called John Carroll and was living in Ashton under lyne Lancashire in 1841 and her sister was living with the family in 1851.Margaret may have had a sister in law called Mary who was recorded as a widow and was living next door her children were Thomas born1835,Teddy 1837 Richard 1841 and Patrick 1844. Margaret may have had her mother Mary living with the family in 1841 she was born around 1791.Margaret and John had 10 children with one daughter marrying Martin Mahon, born 1840 in Frenchpark who was lodging with the family in Ashton under lyne.
Fairly common names which makes it all a bit of a challenge any help much appreciated.

If you go to the 1861 UK census (on FamilySearch, Ancestry, etc.), you will see that Margaret's birthplace is given as County Roscommon.

Hi Patricia ,thank you ,yes I've checked the census etc, unfortunately there isn't much detail other thank the County for Margaret but in a later census her son in law has stated French park,I am now trying to find out where in Roscommon Margaret is from and if they knew each other prior to himself marrying her daughter as he was a boarder before getting married.
