Per Roger McDonnell Frenchpark is within Tibohine...the following is moved here as I posted in another a general Roscommon area...I wanted the information here in case anyone else comes by with the same names. As advised by Roger I have sent an email to St Asicus Catholic Church. Again, Thanks Roger.
My 2nd great Gram was Winifred Flynn-Fitzpatrick b:1836 FRENCHPARK, Co ROSCOMMON.
She married (abt 1857) Thomas Fitzpatrick b:abt 1835 -unknown where in Ireland, maybe Frenchpark, Roscommon too. **moved**
They had 9 children ALL BORN in BALLINASLOE, co GALWAY. My great grandfather (I believe was the oldest) John 12apr1858 (married Elizabeth Hawkins)
Mary Anne (John Quinn?) 4Jun1859,
James abt 1861,
Margaret 19Jun1862,
Winifred (married Ben Hawkins) 29Mar1865,
Joseph Augustin 21May1867,
Thomas b&d 15Feb1870,
Elizabeth Anne b&d 17Jul1872
Thomas Henry 29Aug1874
**moved**
After the youngest was born in 1874 and before the 1881c I find them in Manchester, England...I found John and probably Mary Anne (Quinn?) moved to United States. The rest stayed in England.
Thank you for any help,

PS all this by the grace of God...Grandfather was put into an orphanage and he in turn died when my Dad was 7...had no roots ;-)

Hi Susan,
You might want to check rootsireland.ie as it has records of baptisms of Thomas Fitzgerald in Roscommon in 1836 & Winifred Flyn 1826 in Sligo. It does not have a marriage record for them.

I would like to request help/advise/guidance on my research,.which makes my head want to explode...lol
I know my 2nd great grandmother Winifred Flynn b:1836 in Frenchpark, co Roscommon. (per 1911c in England on Ancestry)
I am reviewing 1 of 3 possible Roman Catholic baptismal records (from RootsIreland.ie). The one that is closest to Frenchpark is:
Winifred Flynn - baptised 13 Sept 1837 - parents: James Flynn and ----Catherine Conry----
Address: Comogue, Parish: Elphin,
Godparents: Luke Carney+Celia Carney----It maybe coinsidence but years later, 1862 the godmother to Winifred's 4th daughter was Mary CONROY -close in spelling---- or maybe wishful thinking.
Which takes me to researching the 1856 (printing date) Griffiths Valuation. I find a James Flynn (her father?) in parish Tibohine, place name Aghalour (14 also note a Mary Flynn lives at 13 could this be his widowed mother?)
Also, important to note (or again wishfull thinking) same page above James Flynn is a THOMAS FITZPATRICK Winifred married a Thomas Fitzpatrick and my Great grandfather was born 4June1858 all the other children were baptised in Ballinasloe co Galway EXCEPT their 1st son JOHN.Finally, I was advised by Roger McDonnell to contact St Asicus catholic church---I tried multiple times in the last 7 months and have not received a reply (I would like to think they have no time-short staffed)
When I review the Irish records I really am not sure what I am looking at and am confused. I am doing my best to do my own research but am falling very short on answers. We plan on coming over for a visit in less than 2 years and I hope to be farther into my research. And wouldn't it be amazing to find LIVING cousins like I found on the other side of the family.
Sincere thanks for your help,
Blessings,
