Hi Rodger and other volunteers,
I have surprisingly found that Winifred Flynn b:1836 left Frenchpark, co Roscommon sometime prior to 1857. I find her living in Manchester, England. There she met and married Thomas Fitzpatrick 26 July 1857. They moved back to Ballinasloe, co Galway, Ireland before their first child John was born 12 April 1858 and raised 9 children. Thomas somehow became an invalid and they moved back to Manchester before 1881, he died in 1883
Their marriage certificate shows her father was Michael Flynn and was deceased at the time of their marriage in 1857. I have searched Ancestry, Findmypast and Family Search (LDS) site and have not found a hit. Any other eyes looking would be greatly appreciated. Thank you VERY much for any help/advise.
Blessings,

Suzie:
The Griffiths Valuation for Co. Roscommonwas published in 1855 and more than likely Michael Flynn was deceased but it is possible he died right before the 1857 wedding. There were a couple Michael Flynns in the parish in the Griffiths. (see link below).
I also went back to the 1825 Tithe listings for Tibohine parish and there was a Michael Flynn listed in Cloggarnagh townland (spelled Clegernaght in the Tithes). (see link).
I assume you have all the baptismal records for the Fitzpatrick children in Ballinasloe.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the help.
Is Cloggarnagh townland in or around Frenchpark? I am going to review the map you gave me prior, would I see it there? Is there anything I can do with the information you gave me? How would I find (or is it not possibe) Winifred's Mothers name?
I have MOST baptisimal records for the 9 children, except my great grandfather John born 1958, Maryanne 1859 and Jamed 1861. I found both boys military reocords. And just found Mary Anne's marriage (to John Quinn) sending for that in Aug.
What can you tell me about Irish military records? Were there records aound 1815-1850 give or take a few years? Maybe Thomas or his father Patrick Fitzpatrick were in the military. I looked on Findmypast but my subscription is only for Britian.
Take care,
Suz

Cloggarnagh is 5.8 kilometers southwest of Frenchpark and is included on the map I sent you.
I went on Roots Ireland and found the Mary Anne baptismal record in 1859 in Ballinasloe. Did not find John and James but I may have worked too fast. You may want to double check.
Unlikely you would find Winfred's mothers name, however, what was the name of the second daughter. Maybe they followed the "normal" naming conventions for children.
I can't help with Military records except to say they were all British records since Ireland did not have there own military.
