Looking for information about the Judge family from Sligo.......also know as Breheny..........Patrick Judge abt 1835 emigrated to Pennsylvania..........Pittston, Scranton area. Not sure what parish in Sligo he was from.......Any help apprecitated. Denise

I can't tell from your note if Patrick was born born abt 1835 or emigrated abt 1835. Can you clarify? If he was from Aghanagh parish, here is the RC parish register for the parish. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0533

Thank you for responding, according to 1860 Pennsylvania census he was born in 1837. I have been told by other Judge family members they were from Sligo, perhaps Castleconner. I know he was married to Anne and died abt1869/1870. She is listed as a widow in 1870 census. His eldest son was named Michael, born abt 1860 in Pennsylvania. Is it likely that he would have been named after Patrick's father. Tough to figure out the Irish, i.e. Lack of records and multiple name variations. Again thanks for responding. Keep in touch. Denise
