Hi there - I'm trying to trace my ancestors who came from Ballysadare in Co Sligo. Their names were John Kearins and Maria Mulligan They were married in 1837, can anyone help me find out anything more about them please? Many thanks

I don't know when they may have left Ireland ( if they did) but in the 1858 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Ballysadare parish there is a John Kearns in Billa townland.

If they were RC, Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie has baptismal records for Ballysadare starting in April of 1842. Roots is a pay site and now requires a subscription to their services.
The 1901 census for Billa (Bella) shows a Patrick Kerins and family. Same family was there in 1911. Oldest son was John so possibly this patrick was the son of the 1858 John.
