Looking for James Heavey born 1807-1810 and his wife Bridget Atkinson born 1809-1811 from Easky area. They were married in 1833 and had a son John in 1834. They emmigrated to Canada in 1835. I can find records for a John Heavey b 1847- d 1892 and a Bridget Mulligan b 1854- d 1917. The couple married in 1877 and settled in Ballymeeny. I'm wondering if this family links to previous generations of the current "Havey" family?

Unfortunately, the RC records for Easkey parish do not start until 1864.

The 1858 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Easky civil parish shows a John Heavy in Carrownabinna /Ballymeeny townland. I'm guessing that this John is the father or uncle of the John who married Bridget Mulligan. He may also be a brother to James that went to Canada.

I also looked at the Tithe Applotment listings for Easky parish. There was an 1833 record for a Michael Heavy in Carrownaminna. Possibly he is the father or brother or uncle to the James who went to Canada.
