  • Hi June,

On ancestry there are 2 public member trees which have Luke's birth as abt 1801.

    I searched baptisms/births on rootsireland.ie for Luke Connor born 1801 + - 1 year and got 1 match - 1802 Dublin.

rootsireland is a pay site so you need to purchase the record to get parents' names and the parish. Once you have the parish you can cross match by searching the Tithe Applotments (1823-27) - just google it's a free search & Griffiths Valuation (1848-64 also free) to see where the Connors lived.

Unfortunately there are 5 records for Catherine Gaffeny born 1832 on rootsireland - 2 Westmeath 1 Meath 1 Limerick and 1 Kilkenny

If Catherine was born 1832 as the ancestry trees say, there was a 30 year age gap between her & Luke!

Do you know where their marriage record is - might be more info on that?
