I am trying to find five of my Great 6x Grandfather children ,Patrick arrived in Australia as a convict on 11 April 1838 on the William Jardine. On Patrick's convicts papers he had five males and five females. Five children came to Australia three boys, two girls leaving two boys and three girls missing.The three boys are Phillip Cullen (Farmer): was born about 1816 and died age 78 on 9 Jan 1894. Thomas Bernard Cullen: was born about 1824 and died age 82 on 23 Oct 1906. Dominic Cullen (Miner): was born about 1830 and died age 85 on 17 Aug 1915. I would like to find the Descendants of the missing five children.

Is it possible that the 5 missing children may have died before the family joined Patrick in Australia, or possibly on board a ship to Australia? It may be worth looking into the family?s travel records.
You could try doing a search for Cullens in Kilmactranny parish in Griffith?s Valuation to see if there are any leads.This is a property valuation survey carried out 1848-1864. It doesn?t give you any genealogical information but it may give you some names to go on. I already did a search and here are the results:
Perhaps you could try taking some of these names as a start for your search.
Civil registration began in 1864 so you may be able to find some records on the family here. These are available from the GRO in DUblin. Here is their website:
