Thomas Fox My Gr Granf father b.1829 High road, Cappawhite son of James who was evicted from farm in Cooga Doon c.1814 by Lord Darby. Faction fighting was popular in  Cappagh. Thomas married Bridget Higgins Foilaclug, Hollyford in 1864 and they farmed 10 acres until 1896 before moving to farm at Glebe, Donohill. Their issue: Margaret, Mary, James my grand father, Michael (Australia) , Thomas. James married Johanna Kelly 4p road, Golden. Issue: Brid, Jane, Nora and my father Tom. Tom mar Delia Meehan Cappamore. issue: Michael, kevin, Tomas, Pat, John and myself Seamus. Foxes had lived in Doon for over 400 years. Agrarian agitation was rife in late 1700's early 1800's and Doon suffered badly during famine times. How much strife did they suffer then ? Do you have stories from this area or relatives to connect to the above.
