My great grandmother, Mary Mitchel Heffernan emigrated to the US in 1886 at the age of 16. Her parents were John Mitchel (1831-1898)) & Catherine Power (1840-1911). Mary had seven siblings--Ellen, John, Martin J., Edward Paul, James, Patrick, & Peter. I know that Martin & Edward also emigrated to the US & lived in the Philadelphia area. I believe that Mary's father, John died in Terryglass. According to a 1901 census record Catherine Power Mitchel lived in Ballycormuck with her son Peter whose occupation was listed as Postman. I have photos of John & Catherine as well as photographs of a home "Moat Villa". I believe that their neighbors were Misses Ann & Mary Pelly. I also have photos of the church & national school that were taken in 1960. I would be most greatful for any information about my family.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I located the 1911 census record for Catherine/Katherine who was living with James.

She died in 1918. Here is a link to the civil death record https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_retu…
We have a parish liaison in Aglishcloghane. I will send her an e-mail alerting her to your message.
