I am looking for information on a Catherine (unknown maiden name) Casay. I don't have a birth date but I would guess sometime in the 1780s or 1790s. She was from Carrick-on-Suir and married a Casey (unknown first name). They had two children, Ann and Catherine. From what I have been able to gather is that her husband died, she then married a Richard McGrath around 1812 at Cashel Parish Tipperary and the family moved to Newfoundland (Argentia area). Catherine and Richard then had children in Newfoundland with birth dates in the 1820s. Does anyone have any information relating to Catherine, her brith date, parents names, first marrige date, first husbands name?

You may want to go to Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie  They have the Carrick on Suir RC records back to 1784. I located an 1814 marriage in Carrick on Suir for a Richard McGrath married to a Catherine. I tried Casay and Casey but they were not correct. I also located an 1808 baptism in Carrick on Suir for an Ann Casey with a mother named Catherine.

Roots is a pay site to view the transcription of a church record.
