  • Dear chiefsub68:

Many thanks for your post to the Ireland Reaching Out message board and welcome to the site.

Thank you also for your willingness to share information about the Max family with others.

Would you consider creating a profile for this family on the XO Chronicles?  The tab is located at the top of the page.

    It can be accessed here:

    https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy

The XO Chronicles are updated every week and read by many of our members.  In addition, they are a database whereby others researching family names can access them and collaborate if they have new information.

Again, thank you for your interest in Ireland Reaching Out and your willingness to share family information.  If there is anything else that we can assist with, please let us know.

    Kind regards,

    Jane.

  • Hi Jane

I am doing some work for my husband on the Max family. His great grandmother was a Judy Ryan who married James Max about 1854.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Lindsay:

Ryan is my married name.  My husband's family were originally from near Cahir in Dundrum, Tipperary.  They were evicted from there during Cromwellian times and were moved to County Clare.

    All the best,

    Jane
