Hi all,
I will be visiting in about a week & was wondering if you could help. My ancestors Elizabeth Morrissey and Andrew Haughney/Aughney were married in Templemore on 9 May 1853 & lived in Dromard Beg which is listed in your parish. I have found 2 Elizabeth Morrisseys born in Templemore around the appropriate time, one baptized 14 May 1826 & the other baptised 17 February 1827. I could assume the one born in Dromard was the correct one, but want to be sure. Is their anything in your records that could sort them out? Thank you.

Hello there,
I have seen their marriage record on www.rootsireland.ie and I presume that you have viewed this record. Does it give their parents names? or an address? that really is the only way that i can think of confirming the record.

Yes that is where I found the Church record, maybe the civil would give more information. My other set of g-g grandparents' civil marriage listing gives that information.

Hi there,
Unfortunately civil registration only began in Ireland in 1864 so You wont be able to confirm anything there. Some church records are more detailed than others. It's great when it gives the perents' names but many don't.
