Wondering if there is a way to find baptismal records in Kilvemnon?  Would like to know if my great-grandfather, William Kennedy was baptized there.  William was born in 1835, according to info I have. There is a record of a John & Thomas Kennedy being occupiers of land in the Village of Mullinahone.  John is the name of William's father, & he has an uncle Thomas, so there is a possibility they are related.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. (According to William's obit he was from Tipperary & came to U.S. In 1848)

According to a resource book I have, the RC records for Mullinahone go back to 1809. Unfortunately, Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie  does not have the Mullinahone records and the Mormon Church do not have the records either. You may need to contact the church.

  • Thank you so much; now I have something to check out and hopefully I'll come one step closer to finding my Irish roots.  We are planning to come over to Ireland in Sept. and would like to go to the right places vs. driving all over Tipperary trying to find some connection.
