Some years ago I visited the Rectory at Clonmel and the Rector went through the PR's for Floyd's whilst I took notes. I gained much information but wasn't allowed to go through the PR's myself so I suspect some things were missed. I have also been through Slater's, Griffiths and some Parliamentary Papers.
I also was unable to pursue other families into which the Floyds married. In the mid 1860's they moved to Manchester (my2x Great Grandfather, Richard, was born about 1820) so there were ample records then.
I look forward to further access to the PR's.

Hi Bill
You might want to try the following site if you have not already done so:
www.rootsireland.ie/ - there are 98 Floyd birth baptisms in Tipperary (no Richards though)
There is a cost to view the records so you need to purchase credit.

Hello Col and thanks for your comments. I'm a member of Roots and have looked through the entries.
Unfortunately none are from Clonmel and I can't link the rest but I'll keep trying.
Kind regards,
Bill
