I am looking for information on Patrick McMahon.  According to his Australian death certificate he was born in Clonmel in 1803.  His parents are listed as Patrick McMahon (Sea Captain) and Nora O'Bryan.

Patrick emmigrated to Australia (Gawler, South Australia) between 1837 - 1839.  Patrick married after he arrived in Australia.

I would love to have further information on my ancestors.

    Most of the church records can be found at www.rootsireland.ie and www.irishgenealogy.ie

    I did a very quick search for Patrick Mcmahon in Clonmel but couldn't find him.  there are a few listed in that date range fjor Co.LImerick.

    Have you looked at the australian records for ships manifests?  He may be listed there and may have been travelling with family.

    Thank you for taking the time to respond :).  I also searched Rootsireland.ie and found the same thing.  I have poured over the ships passenger lists and could only find an entry "arrived by 31-12-1840, so I am guessing he is one of the few that came on a ship that didn't have an available passenger list.  There was no other information with the entry.  I have every person descended from Patrick (all born in Australia) but very little on Patrick and nothing on the link back to Ireland other than what is listed on his death certificate.  I will search irishgenealogy.ie and see what I can find.
