Hello there,
My great grandmother was Kate (or perhaps Catherine Bolan) who was born in 1860 in Hollyford. Are there any Bolan's still living there. I am trying to find out who her parents were so that I can trace them to England. She married my great-grandfather Henry Brown in Richmond, Surrey in 1877. I would be so greatful if anyone has any information about them.

From what I can work out Hollyford records come under Kilcommon but also could be Emly.
All the www.rootsireland.ie/ records are for BOLAND (none for Bolan) and there are lots for Catherines but none for Kate / Katherine. The only Kilcommon R C one is a baptism 28 Feb 1860 parents Brian Boland and Margaret Quigley; home address Cappaghroe. Thereis no Emly record.
