Looking for family history information. I have family Bible record of marriage in 1866 of Joseph Hamilton and Margaret Anne Boyd. From there I would like to trace my grandfather Thomas Hamilton, born 1886, who eventually emmigrated to Canada.

May be a good place to start.
For events after 1864 the LDS site should locate the births and marriages. But Civil registration index won't give names of parents. You will need to order photocopies of the originals from the GRO.
