My Great-grandfather was John Traynor who was a tailor and lived in Church Street, Dromore, Co. Tyrone. In 1857 he married Rose Gorman from nearby Magheragart, Dromore. The Gormans had a business in Main Street, Dromore that included a pub. If anyone has Traynor / Treanor or Gorman connections with Dromore, Co. Tyrone I'd be interested in hearing from them.

  • The 1901 Irish census shows a Daniel Traynor, tailor, on Church St. in Dromore. Perhaps he is a son of your John?

  • Hello Patricia,

Thank you very much for your reply.

You are correct. That census entry is my grandfather's. He is Joseph & Dan & Teresa are his siblings.

    Kind regards

    Michael.
