I am researching family of John Watson + Elizabeth or Ellen McCall, townland Tamnaskeeny (kenny?), who was a lessor of John  Shaw.

I would like to find the exact location of their farm, so I can visit it from Canada!

My Great Grandmother was Martha Anne Watson, their daughter, 1839-1909 who married Robert Thomson Knipe 1841-1891,  of Unagh.

I have NO info on the McCalls, and would like more info on the Watson family, from Martha Anne back.

Thier son, my Grandfather George Whitfield Knipe 1877-1942, graduated as a Physician/Surgeon from Belfast + Edinburgh 1906, came to Canada 1912.

Thank you for ALL help!

Peggy.

  • Thank you to 'my volunteer' for all the information!

I am copying it and digesting it and will have a few followup questions but wanted to express my appreciation for your help now.

Do you know if there is a way to find the actual Watson home/houses? From looking at the Census image on-line,

i haven't been able to figure out where the actual house would be/have been, i.e. their farms, so we can visit.

I've asked people in my Family Hisotry group but nobody knows how to locate an actual current address based on the old Census records. I would love to know how to do this for ALL my ancestors!

I'll be in touch, and thank you again for your efforts.
