My 2nd great grandmother was Ann Murphy. She was born 1822 in Gortshalgan to Matthew Murphy and his wife Rose Donly. I have no other information about them and any information would be wonderful.

The 1859 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Killyman civil parish shows a Matthew Murphy living in Gortshalgan townland.
I found a death index record at www.familysearch.org for a Matthew Murphy who died in 1873 in the Dungannon registration district. This record could be for your Matthew. You can get a copy of theis record by writing to the GRO www.groireland.ie fill out their form and provide the year, registration district and the volume and page number ( 1 and 471). Cost 4 euros.
You don't mention when Ann emigrated to America.
