Seeking to find what happened to his sister Sophia born in 1912 in Killyfuddy

I searched for all Sophia Scanlon records from 1912 on and there was a 1931 marriage record for a Sophia Eileen Scanlon in Co. Carlow. The marriage was held in a Church of Ireland parish. Also, the father was shown as James Scanlon farmer.
Co. Carlow is a good distance away from Co. Monaghan so likely this is another Sophia Scanlon but I wanted you to see the record. There were no other marriage records. There was one death record but the age of the deceased did not match someone born in 1912.
