Hi Everyone

I have been searching for my GGGgrandfathers family. I have Bernard REILLEY married to Catherine. Their children were Ann  b1836 and Edward in b1838. Around 1840 Bernard was kicked in the head by a horse and died. Catherine then married a MCNABB, he was a storekeeper. The family lived in Lisdoo, Kilskeery, Tyrone.

Edward and Ann both came to Australia in 1855 and 1857. There is a half brother Bernard MCNABB that also come to Australia a while after that. There was probably more MCNABB children. They were all RC.

Edward married Annie SLAVIEN in Wollongong Aust in 1860 and had 10 children. Anne married Martin MORAN Jnr in Wollongong in 1864 and had 7 children.

Annie SLAVIEN was the daughter of James SLAVEN (Tyrone) and Rosanna MEALY Fermanagh) who came to Australia in 1841 with their son James Jnr aged 2.

Martin MORAN Jnr was the son of Martin MORAN (b.Galway) and Catherine GLEESON who arrived in Australia in 1854 from Taman, Tyrone.

Any information on these families would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Kay

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

As RC parish records for Kilskeery only begin in October 1840 there will be no baptism, marriage or burial records for anyone in that parish before that time. I haven't been able to find any more McNabb children born to a mother first name Catherine. I also had a look on rootsireland for a baptism for Martin Moran and the marriage of his parents but without success. Do you like you have exhausted all sources there including obituaries and newspaper sources as it seems that he records here do not exist.
