 I have located information regarding your family on a public family tree on ancestry.com    http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/10457391/person/-618146584?ssrc=This record indicates the names of Edwards parents as Michael Grogan and Susan Callaghan. I can only assume that you are aware of this family tree? There are two Michael Grogan's listed on Griffith's Valuation records for Tyrone. One is located in the civil parish of Longfield East and one in the civil parish of Pomeroy. You can try posting your query on either or both of those parish pages. Thank you very much for your prompt reply to my message. I am aware of the listing on ancestry.com, but I am unsure of its reliability. The Michael Grogan listed is shown as residing in the United States in 1850, and if that is correct, his 4-year-old son, Edward, was still residing in Ireland at that time. In addition, he is shown as having other children, born in 1850 and 1858, but his spouse, Susan Callaghan, is not shown as arriving in the United States until 1872.
