I am seeking information about Thomas Bowes' father. Catherine Fowley was the wife of Thomas Bowes. His son Edward was born about 1813. The address on the registry said they lived on Buttery St. in Dungarvan. I believe the father of Thomas Bowes sometimes spelled Boe or Beau or Bowe is the uncle of Mary Bowe born 1812 who married John Fitzgerald and lived on Thomas St.

Greetings from Dungarvan County Waterford. If you have not used the link I am attaching, just click on County Waterford on the map, then access St Mary's church Dungarvan, and there you will get all the baptism records. the Buttery is actually in the immediate area. In Dungarvan, there is to my mind, only one family of 'Bowe.' I am not sure if any of them are living in the male line. Fowley ? This will be spelled mostly as Foley when you are searching the church records in the link attached. You will also find that first names will be in latin.
happy hunting.

Thank so much for your reply. I never would have thought to search using the spelling Foley. Two lines of my family are connected to St. Mary's. Knowing that Buttery St. is in the immediate area is heart warming. Again, thank you. Geraldine
