My great-great grandmother, Johanna Flanagan, was born 12/1831 in Lismore, Waterford. I'm not sure if that's the parish or town. She immigrated to Michigan, America sometime before September, 1855. Her parents may have been William and Mary Ann Flanagan. If so, William was born in 1790 and Mary Ann was born in 1792 in Lismore, Waterford. They also immigrated to America. I would love to find any information on these ancestors you may have.

Similar to your Carey message, I did a 10 year search on Roots Ireland for a baptismal record for Johanna and no record came up. Lismore reords are on Roots. Here is a link to the online register for Lismore RC http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0112 Records start in 1820.
