I am descended from Timothy Mahoney who married Catherine Maloney circa 1870 in Waterford City. Interested in contacting other descendants who may still live in Waterford. Timothys parents were John Mahoney and Mary O'Sullivan and Catherines parents were Dennis Maloney and Norah Driscoll.

You can post your message by finding the parish you want to post it in, then clicking "JOIN PARISH" on that parish's homepage. Once you do this, you will be able to post messages to that parish page using the "Post a Message" block that will appear on the right hand sidebar when you are on that parish's page.

  • Hello there M?ir?n and greetings from Waterford in the South East corner of Ireland.  You say that your ancestors Timothy Mahoney and Catherine Maloney were married in Waterford City c.1870.  Did they have any children born in Waterford.  When did they leave Waterford? Do you know if other family members stayed behind?  What was Timothy's occupation?

Genealogicaly speaking 1870 is not too long ago and I would be cautiously optimistic that we can find some echo of Timothy and Catherine's roots here in Waterford.  And maybe a living relative to continue the Irish side of the story!
