my husband and i recently visited Stradbally. we know his gr grandfather, John Gough, was born there on June 24, 1849. we learned from several people in Whelan's that Goughs had lived in Stradbally up until recent years. we were directed to the catholic church yard where Goughs are buried.
i need the name of the church and the pastor + address to write to him.
John's parents were Edward Gough and Mary Donnell married in Ballylaneen in 1822.
any help would be appreciated. thank you.
