Hello and thank you so much for your site!
I am trying to find information on Patrick Lahey (b. abt. 1794). His parents were Patrick Lahey (d. 1829) and Catherine Farley. Also, I am seeking info on Patrick's wife, Martha Ann Swift (1804-1878). Her parents were John Swift and Catherine Lahey. I believe they were both from county Westmeath.
I'm afraid that is all the information I know at present, am clutching at straws in hopes an EXPERT will be able to point me in the right direction.
Thank you so much for your time and help!!!

Joe:
Many parishes in Co. Westmeath do not have records back to 1794 or even the 1820s when the marriage may have occurred. I checked the Roots Ireland indexes and could not find a baptismal record for a Patrick Lahey/Leahy around 1794 or a Martha Swift around 1804.
I checked the Tithe Applotment lists and could not find a record for a Patrick Lahey/Leahy. However, I did locate a John Swift record in 1826 in Fairmore ( likely Fearmore) townland in Street civil parish. Street civil parish is in northwest Co. Westmeath on the Co. Longford border. In fact, there is a Street parish in Longford which borders the Westmeath Street parish.
I have no idea if this is your John Swift or another person.

The 1854 Griffiths listing for Street parish does show three Swift entries but none in Fearmore.

You will note in the Griffiths that there is a Catherine Lahy in Tinode townland. Could this be the widow of John and mother of Patrick? Something to investigate.
