G'day, I'm seeking information on my Great Grandfather Patrick  Hevey, born approx 1840 in Mullingar.

Patrick's parents are William Hevey and Catherine Judge. On his marriage certificate, Patrick's occupation is a seaman.

He came to Australia, but the only other information I have is his marriage to  Annie Vannet in Victoria Australia in 1872. They were both aged 29.

They moved to Tasmania in 1878. Patrick and Annie had 10 children and I am a descendant of his ninth child Stephen Aloysius Hevey.

Patrick died in 1890 and he was a member of the Court of Sherwood the Ancient Order of Forresters

Thanks in advance for any help received

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I checked Roots Ireland and there were no Patrick Heavy/Hevey baptismal records from 1830-1850 in Mullingar RC church. There were two William Heavy/Hevey records in Mullingar in that time period.. See below.

  • Thanks Roger for doing that for me, I have seen the name Catherine Judge linked with my Patrick William previously.

Strange that nither record has Patrick in the entries.

    Will keep digging

    Thanks again for you time
