My Great grandmother, Maria Gaynor was born in Multyfarnham on 17 Aug 1841, the daughter of Patrick Gaynor and Margaret Kiernan. Patrick was born about 1800, the son of Maurice Gaynor, don't know his mothers name or where he was born or anything about Margaret Kiernan's family. Patrick and Margaret were married at St. Nicholas Church in Multyfarnham on 17 Feb 1833. Their other children were: Maurice, 27 May 1835; Ellen, 2 Sep 1836; James, 31 Jan 1838; Thomas, 9 Mar 1840; Margaret, 15 Apr 1843 and Patrick, 10 Jul 1848. James, Maria and Ellen went to the US about 1857, Patrick, Thomas Margaret and the younger Patrick followed in 1862. I don't know what happened to Patrick's wife Margaret or their son Maurice. They all lived in New York City. Ellen married Thomas Keegan, James married Margaret Shanley, Maria married Henry Casey, Thomas married Margaret Quinn. Never found anything on Margaret or the younger Patrick. The elder Patrick died in 1884.
