Looking for birth and/or baptism records for children of John Garvey and Bridget Kelley, 1820s. One source says one of the sons was born in Ardagh, which I believe is near Athlone. Am I correct about the geographic information or should I be looking in a different part of Westmeath? Any help will be appreciated.
I am Catherine Gilles, ggranddaughter of Patrick Garvey, born 1829 -- give or take a year or so.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I searched on Roots Ireland from 1820-1830 for all of Ireland and the only Garvey baptismal record with a father John and mother with a surname of Kelly/Kelley is below. The RC parish of Ardagh and Moydow is actually in Co. Longford on the border with Co. Westmeath. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0143 The parish is a good deal to the northeast from Athlone.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Forgot to provide the parish register for Rochfortbridge http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0959 which is about five parishes to the east of Athlone.

Thank you so much! It's exciting to get such a quick response and some geographic leads to follow up on -- first glimmer of a breakthrough I've had on my Irish side for a long time. I'm disappointed that there is no name for the male child. Might it possibly be William?
Thanks again -- and good luck to all searchers!

The name was Mic. I assume short for Michael. You may want to check the register.
