I am trying to locate Raftery family from Westmeath. At least 5 siblings came to South Australia. Father's name was Patrick Raftery. James came out first in 1857, then William, Rose and Bridget together in 1859, followed by Edward in 1866. Any help would be appreciated.

The only birth/baptism record I could find for Patrick Raftery Westmeath on www.rootsireland.ie/ was a baptism on 8 Oct 1834; parish is TUBBER & ROSEMOUNT (Templeoran is not in the list of parishes for Westmeath on the site)

The 1854 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Templeoran civil parish shows a Patrick Rafferty in Kildallan townland. Since there were no Raftery entries, Patrick Rafferty is likely your ancestor.
