I believe I am related to the Banvilles through Johanna Banville nee Ryan & her father William Ryan appearing in the 1911 census at house 13, Cullenstown, Horetown, Wexford. Williams Family also appears in the 1901 census at the same address; he would be my G-Granduncle. From the 1911 census, Johanna Banville nee Ryan had three children, Robert b~1908, William b~1909 & Nicholas b`1910. The family seems to have lived out their lives in New Ross, Wexford. I would love to meet any living descendants on a trip to Ireland currently being planned.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Below is a link to the online Irish phone book which is a partial list of phone users. Use the Residential TAB and search for Banville in County Wexford. You should get about 25 records and at least 3 around New Ross.

  • Roger, Thank you for your reply.  Locally, I could not directly access the link supplied because, I believe, it was secured (httpS).  However I did find many Banvilles in Wexford & New Ross.  Subsequently, I found a link to the descendants of Johanna Banville nee Ryan's three children.  Two went to & died in Bucks, England & the other to & in the USA.  Consequently, I believe there are probably none of her Banville descendants (and my direct relations) living in Wexford.
