Dunne from Bannow Wexford

Bannow parish RC records are not on Roots Ireland. Here is the link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0579 You may want to search for the record for James. I looked for civil birth index records. Bannow parish is in the Wexford registration district. The only record in 1873 in the Wexford district was for a James Patrick Dunne. There was also a James Dunne in 1870. You can get a copy of either record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. If you want instructions let me know.

You would think not but I have seen situations where families did this so you can't know conclusively.

Go to this link https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx   print out the birth form and fill it out to the best of your ability and include the info from the index record. Make sure you ask for a copy only which costs around 4 euros. You have to mail the request to Ireland (address provided when you print the form) but you can ask GRO to e-mail the copy back. I provide a credit card number and have not had any problems. I gave you the 1870 index record also.
