Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The marriage was in 1885 and Thomas' wife's maiden name was Brien. The firs link below is the church marriage record from Roots and the second is the civil index record. The civil record will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and also where the brdie and groom were living when married presumably Enniscorthy. A copy of the civil record would cost around 4 euros from the General Register Office. Let me know if you want instructions on getting a copy.

I Have finally found my familyabout 4 weeks ago and we are burning the technology lines between Enniscorthy and Australia;-) since I wrote my first post, i have gathered the followimg information and have over the past month been sharing it with my second cousin. Australia was never on Enniscorthy's radar and my family. We just were not known about so its been amazing. Here is the information Ive gathered in the last couplle of years in between building other trees.
James Redmond married Kitty Kavanagh 1811
They had children Ellenor, Ellen, Dorothy, James, Ellen, Patt, Mary Ann, Brigid, John.
Bridget Redmond (Brigid) married James Quinn. (Parents James Redmond/Kitty Kavanagh and havent found Quinn yet )
They had children Catherine, Mary, Thomas, Frances, James, Michael (Ross Road)
Thomas Quinn married Elizabeth Brien/Bryan (parents James Quinn/Bridget Redmond and Peter Brien/possibly Mary Nowlan? but unable to confirm at this stage Briens lived Pie Lane now church Lane Lower )
Thomas and Elizabethhad children James, Francis, Bridget, Francis, Mary Eliza Quinn. Although the Census say Thomas and Elizabeth had 5 children, the family tells me that there were 3 named Francis, one of whom was born still so not recorded - the other died age 14 months. james quinn was in the Irish Guards as a Cleaner but my mother recalls being told he also went on to be in the Grenadier Guards at Buckinhgam Palace (no proof of this though). James went to WW1 and was sent home injured. After this he supposedly emmigrated to the USA and no one in the family ever heard from him again. The Enniscorthy Quinn family are still in Shannon Hill and would love to know what happened to James Quinn ie did he get to America, did he marry and have children? etc
Francis Quinn married Annie Dixon and had 9 children. Thomas (Tom), James, Sean, Patrick (Paddy), Elizabeth (Lil), Francis (Frank), Anne (Nance), Bridget (Sr Patrick, Little Sisters of the Poor, Belgium) and Mary - not necessarily in that order. Some of this family of course went on and had their own children who married and had children.
my DNA matches
Michael Quinn (Father James Quinn and Bridget Redmond) married Mary Kenny lived Duffrey Gate and Duffry Hilltheir children Elizabeth, Thomas, James, Annie, Patrick, Sarah, Bridget, Michael - Sarah married Dobbs
The second DNA match has Michael Quinn m Annie Cullen. Duffrey Hill. They had 2 daughters I think, Johanna (possibly known as Judy) Quinn m John Joseph OBrien (had 11 children) ( parents of John Joseph OBrien were Edward Brien (fowl dealer) and Eliza nee Timmins)
3rd DNA match has James Quinn married Bridget O'Rourke/Rourke lived Patricks Street Enniscorthy. Bridget whose mother may have been Murphy, died age 41. Children Mary (Molly), Michael (died age 3), Laurence (lived and died Waterford), Margaret (lived and died England), William (Billy lived England and is buried Enniscorthy), Bridget (married and lived Tipperary), Patrick, Michael.
so any of the above names living Shannon Hill, Duffrey Gate, Duffrey Hill, Spring Lane, Ross Road or Pie Lane, could possible be a connecting family.
my questions
Did James Quinn get to America? Did he have family?
Does anyone have any information at all on any of these groups of people?
Does anyone have any information regarding Irish Guards records or any connection with Grendier Guards after the 1911 Census through to WW1?
Was there any large number of Enniscorthy emmigration occurring around the war years and after? And where would they have left the country from?
is there anyone out there related to any of the numerous surnames associated with these people or the names Ive mentioned?
Even 1 person's name can help grow this further and help me to match up the Shannon Hill, Duffrey Gate, Duffry Hill, Patricks Street and Spring Valley groups
also a Brien marriage to a Martin Doran - any takers with this one?
If youve stayed with me on all of this, thank you so much for your endurance. Kindest regards.

Update on James Quinn born 1886 - he lived in Lancaster and appears in the 1939 Register. We now have his death certificate and James descendants are very happy to know where his final resting place is.
Also found Bridget Redmond and James Quinn had a son John born Enniscorthy named after James Quinns Father John Quinn. We believe that this John may have married Sarah Askins? Would love to know if this is correct?
